Over the weekend it’s been a roller coaster ride. Ann had to be placed on a respirator as I blogged last. They tried to slowly take her off of it, but that didn’t work. Her oxygen saturation levels dropped within thirty minutes. The doctor decided to just completely remove the tube because it was irritating her throat which, as some of you know, is one of the biggest problems for Ann. Her breathing has always been labored since I’ve known her due to a car accident 40 years ago. Removing the tube completely scared us because we didn’t know how she would react to that. Praise God, she reacted well to it. Her SAT levels stayed up and she is due to be out of the ICU today.
Here’s the problem to this point. She is still very disoriented. She will make sense for a while and then not for a while. We still don’t know the extent of the damage done due to the lack of oxygen that she suffered for a long period of time. Please pray that she will be able to get her senses back and that her relationship with God can be strengthened through all of this.
Thanks so much for your continued prayers. God bless you all, my blog family.
